From the very first call, the experience with Mr Hornung and his team was exceptional. Everything was clearly explained and every effort was taken to ensure the operation and recovery was done in the safest, most comfortable way. The operation was organised quickly and all tests were arranged in the days/weeks leading up to the operation. The level of care and quality of the surgery has meant my recovery time has been far quicker than I expected.

As a mother of a 35 year old bowel cancer patient I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Hornung from the outset of diagnosis. I can only say that throughout the whole process he has been considerate professional kind and caring to us all as a family.. We are so grateful to have him as our consultant.

From my first meeting with Mr Hornung I felt comfortable with him as my Bowel Cancer consultant surgeon. He carefully and clearly went through my treatment plan and although his approach was very efficient and professional I still felt he was approachable and interested in me as a patient. This was borne out when I went in for treatment as he came to see me in the waiting room to explain exactly what was happening as my operation approached. Mr Hornung also came to see me the day after the operation and before I left hospital for home. At a time of great personal worry and anxiety Mr Hornung was outstanding and I would not hesitate to recommend him.
